A watch is a watch & if it works life is good & if it’s broken at least it’s right twice a day. As for me I like the middle watch in the photo however you can always get him a watch like this & I’m sure he will love it as well.

Does he need a watch? Mostly we carry a phone which has the time.
Women will buy watches for the decorative value and some men do but mostly men are interested in utilitarian value. He might want one with 'wearables' features.
I get the impression you are most focused on the look of the watch and there may be a gender difference between you and your husband on the value of that.
I don't own a watch. Be sure he wants one rather than you thinking he needs one I suggest.

If you are paying about $200. He is the type who likes watches... Go with a watch maker.
Def. not buy from a fashion maker like the above.
If you must. The top.
I do like Bulova, Movado, Hamilton... etc...

It depends. Does he like watches? I don’t like wearing watches because my wrist gets sweaty. Especially living here in Arizona where we get triple digits in the valley. Second, would it be something more for when he dresses up? I have a watch that I only wear when I’m outside in the woods where I know I’m going to get dirty, submerged in water. Being exposed to the elements basically. I’ve always like Bulova watches. But out of the three I like the third one. I like the color blue.

Watches are incredibly personal choices. Is it an option for him to be involved in the choice? If not I would recommend something simple and elegant... Skagen have a good line, there are many, many other brands. IMHO
