I wrecked my 78 Z28 on the S turn in the middle of town early the morning of Christmas Day 1981. Not a whole lot of damage. Ripped the Crager 5 spoke wheels off of the left side sliding into the curb at 60 plus and put a large dent above the back wheel well when it hit the ground after the wheels were torn off. A little damage underneath and Britt bent the gear shift when he flew over onto the driver's area. So roughly 6 weeks later, two brand new wheels, a COMPLETE paint job throughout in pearl white I leave Bakers dad's shop 6 miles outside of town and cruised down the black top road happy as a pig in slop. The car NEVER had looked better, not even leaving the showroom floor. It had snowed the day before and as i approached the fork where the black top meets Farm to market road 1000 I applied the brakes and slid right into the ditch bending the left lower part of that fender right in front of the front wheel. My friend Bakers older brother was real nice about it. Having me return to their shop he straightened the bent area, bare handed, and messed with it for about 20 minutes and ironed out the slight crease and it looked fine. I had to go to the car wash to remove the slush that had splattered on and under it and I was releaved to be back where I had started upon leaving the shop the first time that day. But with a little trembling and a huge feeling of relief.

I bought a very expensive pair of waterproof boots. The second day I wore them I nicked the toe on one of them with my chain saw and cut a hole in it. I guess I was lucky I did not cut off a couple of toes but it sort of sucked. I actually called the boot company and asked if I could just buy a left boot. They said no.

I bought a handgun and a shotgun a couple of years ago. I have a concealed carry permit and the few times that I have to go in the city I come armed. i read an article from our police chief in the local paper. This week he wrote about how record numbers o people are applying for gun permits. I guess I am not the only one

Yep, totalled. She hit another car on her way out apparently. She had another accident when getting a new personalized license plate that mentioned how many crashes She had up to that point (it was 8) and got hit by another car as she was driving soon after. This was all when she was younger though. She's only had 2 that I know of as an adult. One where we hit a tree and it nearly impaled me lmao and just a about 2 weeks ago she backed into a cop car.

And you are right. It does lose value the moment you pull off the lot

On one of my mum's last trip to England she brought me back a ring. I ran out to the store that evening wearing it came home without it. I was so upset. Didn't even feel it slip slipped off my finger and will always think about it.
