Do you like British women?

Question

I'm British and I've seen somewhere recently that American women love British guys and British guys love American women but not the other way round! I'd just like to say I love American guys and I'm just interested to know what you think of British women?

Is it worth me going over there to pull? lol

In all fairness, to 'combat' some things that the American blokes have said (heh 'blokes' not often do I use that term...) about us being uh stuck up and such...

I do agree that there are a lot of 'stuck up' peoples about the place, but isn't that the same everywhere. Oh and you need to be in mind of the different kinds of humour we are used too... I agree that cheeseyness is coming back over here with the likes of high school musical (grrr) but a good portion of people I know only went to watch these things to take the mick (sorry if I offend but it's true, not true for everyone though I'm just basing it around people I know).

We tend to like the more sarcastic side/ twisting ways things are said to make them funny/rude. Having watched a particular chat show with an American actor and an Australian actress it was quite clear that they both didn't quite get the humour that was coming out of Justin Lee Collins' mouth lol... so this kind of humour that we like could maybe be taken the wrong way that some people are not used too? As much as we are alike and can like each others TV shows there are always going to be slight differences between countries as our cultures are quite different... I mean for starters we spell words differently lol :D

cant say its the englsih accent as you know there's no such english accent cause there all different like manchester,london,yorkshire,birmingham,liverpool all total dif accents although gotto ay love the scousers

english I think are exactly like us irish except different accents love the english always a great laugh to be with especially on hols

It's the accent and the fact that an English guy is still safe. We like the exotic...but we want to be safe as well and it seems to be the perfect mix. I also think that Irish and Scottish accents are nice sounding. I'd never base a relationship around being drawn in by a voice but I certainly don't mind it. Same goes for English women too :-).

Most of the guys I know are actually highly attracted to British women. Go figure. "accent, fuller body, style," and then they launch into famous actresses/ musicians. If you heard their rants enough you'd take the assumption that American men dislike British women back lickity split.

I just moved to London from New York a few weeks ago, and from my findings, British women are more difficult to be around with than American women. I find British women are not as easy going (character wise) and are a little more serious (stuck up may be?). But I've only been here a few weeks and the places I go to meet are probably not the best. So I'm not the best to answer this. I think some of it has to do with there being more men than women in London because of all the immigration so that British women have a stronger b*tch shield than American women. I'm not going to give up. I'm still interested in finding out more about British women...

I'm British, so I couldn't resist answering A. Obviously it's wrong to generalise, after all, my current woman is British. But you asked for a generalisation, and in general, I find women from many other cultures to have more style, class and sensuality. Those 3 things are not often to be found in British women.

But at least British women are funny and can make me laugh!(often at their ghastliness!)

I think that British women are more attractive than most American women, with only one exception. The accent plays into it (though you think it is we who have the accent...and you could make a good argument there), but certainly the culture is a big part. The exception to British women being my favorites, is black women of any civilized nationality. I'm not exactly sure why, but there is something there that is attractive to me.

I don't think America guys have anything AGAINST British women, but there's an easy way to find out:

Go up to a group of guys and ask "What do you guys think of Keira Knightley? Would you date her if she asked you out? How about Sienna Miller or Elizabeth Hurley?"

Most guys would say "Would I date Keira Knightly? Um...can you make that happen?!"

maybe they just hook up with a few girls when they're in america, because those girls fall for their accent easily?

Accents are awesome. I can understand some pretty thick ones until they say a word we don't use on the other side of the pond. I like the Irish. I wish I talked like them.
