Would you date a sikh man with a turban?

I have a sikh male friend who is a very nice guy. I find he doesn't get many women interested in him. Is it because of his turban? Do many women find it an unattractive characteristic?

He's very westernized in every other way since he was born in north America.

Overall it's about the guy's personality and life values, but I think things like turbans or headscarfs that point to a specific religion or culture do ward off a portion of people. I don't think people doubt they are nice people in general and can get along with them casually, but they don't consider them as possible dating material from the start if they believe their culture or religious view of the world is very different from their own (since lets face it, those relationships hardly ever work). One shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but we all do anyway since we don't always have the time to get to know everyone. Therefore we have to make those single glance judgements based on appearance. For me personally that would mean I probably wouldn't consider someone in a turban (whom I didn't know) as dating material since my first assumption is his culture is too different from my own for a relationship to ever happen.

no. I've never considered a guy in a turban. and probably would not. I just don't see them as dating material. Its not about character, its mostly culture--and I've always thought that sihks were not allowed to marry outside of their faith. Besides, I try not to date anyone that belongs to religions that require some outward piercing, body art, head dress, or something like that. nothing against those that do. Just not something I would do.

Many women out there would date a Sikh man. It is then that assume we wouldn't and never ask. I, m Hispanic and our opinion is that they are really nice with great moral values.
