What can I do for my boyfriend's 23rd birthday?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years and we've lived together for 3. His birthday is a week from Friday, I didn't realize it was so soon. He's not into gifts or anything like that. But he's been working so hard lately. So I wanted to do something that he can just relax and have fun. So I was thinking about having him take the day off and tell him I had a doctors appointment and that I had no idea where it was so I need him to go with me. Then when he wakes up that day tell him that I was just getting him to stay home. Then make breakfast for him, then lay around the house for a few hours. Then have him go and pick out some lingerie for me to wear that night, then take him to the movies, then to the arcade place then taking him out to eat. Is there anything else I can do? Any ideas?

Why do you not get the lingerie yourself?

It's completely unexpected and would make the moment

of heat even hotter.

I am sure you know his taste and what would look

great on your body type.

I am just wondering, but besides his actual birthday does he

have any days off that are close? I'd advise you to celebrate it then.

Yes, it's a sweet gesture wanting him to take a day off and spend a full day with you.

But the reality of It is , he needs to make money.

There are bills that need to be paid.

Just because you don't celebrate someones birthday on the actual day...

does not mean it is less special.

On his birthday you can still acknowledge that it is, give him kisses,

and say "Happy birthday".

But I suggest you celebrating it on one of his day's off (he still won't see

it coming).

You can still do the sweet things like make breakfast for him,

get romantic and then go to the movies and arcade place.

All of that is a great idea.

I told him I wanted him to stay home that day today, and the plan about the "doctors appointment" he said he wouldn't have cared either way. As long as he got the day off. He's been working 7 days a week lately so I thought he deserved a day off.

Very good plan, considering he has been working hard lately. He would definitely want to have a good time. Just curious, can he be little angry (but happy at the same time) when he comes to know you were lying about the doctor thing? I doubt he will get angry.

My birthday's in March. It's the 19th to be exact. When I turned 23, 2 years ago, my friends and I went to see Monday Night Raw (I'm a huge WWE fan) and then we went out on the town. It was fun. Not saying you should do this with your boyfriend, I'm just telling you what I did.

You should just take him to laser tag. It's far cheaper and much more fun.

Generally speaking getting him up and moving will net you better results. So unless you're going to play Pump It Up or it's ilk you'll not be increasing his heartrate and cranking those endorphins. Chill humans are not immune to a good "run with a purpose".
