DO NOT DISTURB
DO NOT DISTURB

Everyone needs some alone time and personal space in this hectic world today. Kids need it. Adults need it. Even celebrities and porn stars need it. In this increasingly technological age, however, true privacy is hard to find.

Here are a few suggestions on how to save and most of the little of yours:

1. Watch how you dress in public.

Ideally you should stick to modest clothing and hairstyles and try to avoid anything tight or revealing. This advice is especially good for females who may have issues of unwanted attention, including staring, from the opposite sex.

2. Keep certain personal numbers to yourself.

Don't reveal numbers such as PINs on ATM cards or social security numbers to anyone unless absolutely necessary. Doing so may compromise your financial security, leaving you open to identity theft or worse.

3. Watch how you use social media and Internet capable devices.

Don't use social media to send nude or suggestive pictures or videos of yourself to anyone. The wrong person(s) may find such and circulate them all over the Internet, resulting in embarrassment and other forms of negative attention.

You should not allow your SO to use Internet-capable devices to take nude or suggestive pictures or videos of you. If your relationship later ends, vengeance may motivate that person to distribute such on social media.

4. Mind your manners and conduct at home, in the presence of strangers.

Don't 'let yourself go' in your house, when visitors are there with you. What you do may be retailed or reported and then you don't know how it will get back to you.

5. Be careful what you say or do around young children.

If you are a parent, exercise self control all the time around your children, always being the example of what you wish to see them do. Single parents should not make their children their confidants. Rather, they should seek out adult friends they know and trust. Remember that from innocent mouths have slipped many an embarrassing secret.

If you are an adult and not a parent, do not seek out any child for a close friendship. If there is pressure from family or friends, or a difference of opinion between the two of you, the minor may reveal intimate secrets. Grown men should not get involved with underaged girls, because quarrels may belch secrets up and invite unwanted attention.

Thus far some of my opinions on the all important topic of personal privacy and how to save it.
