Why do guys feel the need to alert their friends when a hot girl walks right pass them?

Lol, like why can't that one guy enjoy the view himself rather than tell his friends or co workers to check you out? this happens a lot to me. I'll usually see a guy with his male friends or coworkers, and that one guy who is aware that I'm walking towards his direction while the others aren' awaret, would either elbow his friend, point my direction, plain out stare until the other notice (secret sign of stop talking and stare) or until that one guy compliment or flirt, all other will just stop stare.

One of my coworkers used to joke I had hawk eyes, and he'd follow my line of sight. Then we joked that we'd make like a hawk call if we saw a 10. The thing is, nobody's a definite 10. So we came up with the click for 'worth checking out'. We also determined that neither of us can do hawk cries well, so we do more of a crow cawing for 9's.
