Why do so many women wear sunglasses?

sunglasses can be worn for various reasons:
*to avoid getting caught checking out hotties lol
*to hide under eyes dark circles
*to hide tears
*because its a fashion item
*to protect eyes from the sun

A lot of guys wear sunglasses too... it's to protect your eyes from the sun mostly. Some people do it for style.
Maybe I just live in a sunny area but, I see so many guys with them too.

Mostly for the looks and because of the sun but it helps to have them on when someone nice walks by

Sunglasses protect from bright sunlight.

When light is too bright, people squint their eyes. Constant squinting wears out the skin around the eyes and after some years people will develop the so called crow's feel.

It just seems like so many more woman where them than guys do where I was thinking the sun wouldn't be the factor for most of them wearing them

Yeah there are a lot of women who may just wear them for fashion but I wear them for protection against the sun cause my eyes are sensitive to light otherwise I would even want to wear them cause their not really that convenient for me

Yeah, that's the trend. They end up covering most of your face. I also find it difficult to talk to people wearing dark large sun glasses because I don't know where to look, so I just look where I think their eyes are.

Fair skinned blue eyed blondes have a sun sensitivity. The sun bothers my eyes is the main reason I wear them.

Um... because, I really don't want to end up with premature aging around my eyes. Sunglasses and sunscreen for the eyes are of the upmost importance.

Protect eyes, eyes can drift with little/no suspicion, it can make an average girl seem above average/hot

Well way more girls than guys wear them so I was wondering why they would wear them besides the obvious sun protection. If sun protection was purely the reason then there would probably be just as many guys as girls wearing sunglasses which there is not
