I think of the family members in my ancestry who came from there, and what they may have been like had I ever met them. And I also think of beautiful, green landscapes, refreshing misty weather, castles, literature and folklore, the metal band Primordial, classic Irish songs, and Irish Wolfhounds.

More seriously: terraced houses, brick everywhere, the Liffey and huge trucks rumbling along it, the Dart, views from Howth across the harbour as the HSS comes in, and the crazy old lady I met as I walked to my hotel during one of my visits there who declared she was Hopalong Cassidy and started whooping like a cowgirl.
