Is 5'7 really that short for a guy?

I like this guy who is around 5'7-5'8 in height and I get a lot of people asking me why I like him since he is so short or they will just make a comment about it and proceed about how it is a bad thing or something. Is it really that bad of a height? I'm short myself so it doesn't seem short to me.

No it's not too short, as long as a guy is taller than his girl, I think he should do fine but to neutralize the height, your boi can get in the gym and start getting shredded to keep the guys quiet 😂.

There are a lot of attractive celebrities who are 5'7-5'8 e. g Tom Cruise, James Dean, members from One Direction, Zac Efron, Dave Franco... Myself... So that's an adequate height ;D

They have different criteria for choosing a sexual partner than you. If you don't have a problem with it then no worries. Being tall and short is subjective. What might be considered tall to some people might be short for others because they themselves are seeing that person from their own respective heights. To you he's tall because you're shorter than him. While maybe another guy is is 6'0 calls him short because from his point of view he is much smaller.

Height has never been a problem for me. It's not that I find him short it's that my "friends" think that I should go for someone considered tall (6 ft and up). Like idc what they think and I don't think it's necessary to say that to someone.

I don't think its short. It's average according to this website - though that might be because these people mostly come from Asian and the middle east where people might be shorter. Here in North America it might be considered shorter but if you don't care about height then go for it. I don't care about height.

Well, I'm 5'3 so to me even 5'4 on a guy is fine haha However, 5'7-5'8 isn't what I'd consider tall. It's average. I guess it depends on the country you're in though. To me, tall is 5'11 or higher.

Is shorter than average, but it's still taller than the average girl.
Although at my school, I'd say guys who are 5'7 are in the bottom 25th percentiles for height. That might be the average height for GIRLS at my school actually.

There's nothing wrong with being short as a guy (well, I'm 6'1", I don't really have the right to say this haha) — I've never understood why the guy "should" always be taller than the girl, as most people seem to think. I usually fall for tall girls, that's my opinion though. But the tall guy/short girl thing just seems to accentuate gender roles even more and I'm not really a fan of that.

My friend just thinks I should go for someone who is considered tall (6ft and up) as opposed to someone who is taller than me and doesn't meet that criteria (5'3-5'11 basically) but at the end of the day it is my decision anyway I just don't think its fair to tell someone to only go for someone of that height range because that is what they consider attractive.
