Is it haram to eat in the bathroom?

yes it is, because there is "shaytaan" in the bathroom, and not to mention the amount of bacteria and weird creatures living in the bathroom that can causes serious diseases , and when Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen was asked about eating in the bathroom he said
"The bathroom is a place for relieving oneself only and one should not stay there longer than is necessary. Eating or doing other things there requires staying there for a length of time that is not appropriate"
so avoid eating in the bathroom because that is harmful and disgusting
