Combat tactic "slicing the pie"?

Can someone (preferrably with a military background) explain what slicing the pie is? What is it exactly and how effective is this tactic in combat?

It's basically arcing at a doorway or corner to allow you full view of a room/area.

You're the only one who commented lol. Thank you. I watched this documentary about gangs in the military. There was an ambush on some police officers by a gang member who used the tactic of "slicing the pie". But they didn't explain what the tactic was or why he used it.

Yeah the real advantage is that it offers you line of sight while also providing some essential cover with blind spots
