Generalising is bad because not everyone that is from a certain country, that is a certain gender, race, or certain hair colour is the same.
There are good and bad people in every country in the world, to say this person is from... so they must be... is wrong.
To say all men are pigs is wrong because it is not true, to say all women are bitches is also wrong because it is not true. To say all men want is sex is wrong because it is not true, to say all women are sl*ts is wrong because again that is not true. Some men and women maybe what I mentioned above but not all so it is unfair to say they all are.
To say all white people are... to say all black people are... is also wrong. There are good white people and bad white people, same with black people, just because you meet some bad people of any race does not mean they are all bad.
To say all blondes are dumb is wrong also because that is not true, they are no more dumb than any other hair colour.
I think you get my point. People have very little patience for generalisations and I don't blame them.

Because people should be judged on the content of their character,
instead of mentally lazy and short sighted generalities that a person stupidly uses to judge people.
Generalizing is bad because not every person is the same. In fact we are all unique. You can like one thing or have a specific type of behaviour in one situation, but be completely different in another or like something completely different as well. It's just the way humans are.
By generalizing people, you are overlooking the fact that humans are unique individuals with their own tastes and ideas separate of one another. Sure, we can all be influenced by others' ideas. However, we have our own brains to make decisions about what we like and dislike.
Generalizing also hurts people. Because it means that a certain group of characteristics is applied to a gender or race. This is harmful in many ways because it reduces that gender or race to the stereotype or generalization.
because it places people into boxes, when in reality, every single individual is a prototype.
it just only works to extents. once u begin being ridiculous about narrowing people down, it can get chaotic. some people dont mind being put into boxes. others will never let u catch them.
Generalizing is stereotyping. When you believe in a overall opinion about a particular type of person, then you're showing your narrow mindedness & ignorance. It is best to learn each person as an individual first before forming any type of opinion about them.

Because by generalizing, you're unjustly projecting a quality on everyone of that specific group, when in fact usually not everyone is like that.
It's just very narrow minded.
Because it's not true, duh.
