.. the person doesn't work with me.
Will I get a criminal record for punching someone in the face?
.. the person doesn't work with me.
If you are Already on your job, I wouldn't worry about it. However, if the erson you punched, decides to press charges, you probably will get off with a slap on the wrist for probably your First Offense and a Misdemeanor, which of course, will go down on your record.
If someone on your next job, should you apply with another girl or guy, Asks for some history, just tell them to be an Honest Jane, for many do run background checks today, that it as something silly that you both got in a fight over but was Not on the job, and with seeing it wasn't a big deal or even a felony, where it dealt with money or unauthorized use of a vehicle or anything of this naughty nature, they will just over look it.
Good luck. xx
If they press charges yes. The criminal record will always be a stain on your resume. You could potentially lose your job, I'm sure being convicted of something is against contract somewhere.
The 10 second satisfaction of punching them will NOT outweigh the consequences you suffer afterwards. They just don't even up. Don't let that person have such an affect on your life, let them live their own life and if you want to punch them so bad just keep away from them.
Punching someone in the face is assault and battery and is obviously illegal. But you would only get a record from it if either a cop saw you do it or someone reported it to the police.
If it did go on your criminal record, you would only lose your job if the job checked that regularly - but you also wouldn't get any new job that required a background check.
Resolve your dispute in some way that makes you seem like a mature person.
If he presses charges, definitely. Did he have it coming? But don't think the entire world will hate you forever either. If I were a rich producer, and you had what I needed for a project, I might still hire. Just as long as the punchin' stuff doesn't become a problem. Other employers might be more spiteful, acting as if your offense were somehow against them. You wouldn't want to work for those weasels anyway. They probably fear you, because they know all the non-violent suckers they do employ are complaining about the abuse they get at work. No abusive employer wants to hire someone who can fight back.
if they press charges yes you would get a criminal record and it would likely keep you from getting professional jobs in the future unless you get it expunged. losing your job it really depends how much time you would miss from work.

Maybe, if they snitch on ya, but you should be worried more about it showing up on our permanent record, the internet
if the person presses charges then yes you will get a record for assaulting a person
If he/she press charges on you than yes. I would if anyone ever hits me.
Only if he decides to charge you with assault/battery (depends on country's laws too).
Depends on if someone reports it or not and if they want to press charges.
Probably fired even jermey Clarkson couldn't pull that off but probablyno criminal record
If you were a man, the answer would be yes to both. But you're a woman, so you aren't accountable for your behavior.
