Always cuts the telephone conversation short..........why?

Guy I've been talking to always cuts the phone conversation short.

We've gone out once. He's asked to go out again numerous times, just hasn't happened because of me. I'm wondering why he's always cutting the conversation short. Is it because he doesn't want to get too comfortable talking too much, so I'll meet up with him instead? So that I'll miss him? He seems like he's still interested by the way he talks to me, but I just don't get it.

Some guys just aren't into talking on the phone. In the meantime, if you like him, go out with him again!

Yeah I mean you already know he likes you and if it's early on, he probably just doesn't want to end up saying so much that something 'stupid' will come out. but yeah also, some people just don't like the telephone speak
