Feet for hands, and here's why:
1) Think about how your hands and feet operate, each in their proper location, before getting to my conclusion. Lift up an arm and twist your hand different ways on your wrist, wiggle and spread your fingers in different ways. Now try the same thing with a foot on the end of your leg. Notice a difference? I'm sure you know this part, but I'm saying it to emphasize how much more dexterous your arm tendons are than your leg ones. Now let's consider further points for my conclusion.
2a) Consider now that a foot is on the end of your arm, attached to your wrist instead of your hand. Your toes use the same arm tendons your fingers did, so they would be quite dexterous. Sure there's not as much you could do with your feethands than you could if you still had hands there, but with therapy and training/practice there's very little you couldn't still do, much more than you'd expect.
2b) Let's look at the reverse, how it'd be if you had handfeet (hands at the end of your legs, say you chose the 2nd option). Your fingers down there would use your leg tendons, and they'd move like they're cramped, moving together like how your toes worked. In fact, all you'd really have use of would be your thumb, and to a limited capacity. Maybe you could train and condition to use them better but they'd never be ANYWHERE near the level of use you'd get from anything at the ends of your arms, hands OR feet. You wouldn't be able to pick much up with them for one thing. Aeon Flux movie? Nope there's no way it'd work like that, not without extremely advanced surgery that would be way beyond our capabilities, would be extremely risky, if possible at all.
3) The problems of picking hands for feet: Hands aren't made to support the body's weight. Hand bones are not made for walking and are for very different uses. You'd have to go through excruciatingly painful training and therapy even if you could ever get them stronger, and probably risk broken bones in both your handfeet and from falls. And even then, you'd have to learn to walk all over again with a different stance, bent legs and hunched over back. We're not made like apes, this would cause us to have chronic knee problems, hip problems, back problems. I'd hope you'd be ready to lose a lot of weight and even then, we're taller than apes and you could never fix this, we just have more body mass than they do. And you know how hard losing weight can be.
4) Feethands look better than handfeet do, the latter looking creepy, the former would look very sleak. Sure both would take getting used to but feethands are easier on the eyes than handfeet would be. Plus there's no risk of stigma with feethands, either from how they look or smell. Since they're on the ends of your arms you'd be able to keep them much cleaner than you would the ones on the ends of your legs, and through at least half of the year you wouldn't have to have anything on them. Socks would only be needed in the colder months and shoes would not be needed at all, so there'd be no risk of foot odor. They're also a lot easier to care for than the ones on your legs. They'd have no callouses, bunions, etc. If you were female with feethands, you'd be able to keep them looking prim and dainty all the time.
I really can't understand why people don't think it through, they just pick hands for feet/handfeet because they think it'd make life easier for them, when in fact it'd be quite the opposite, and feet for hands/feethands would not set them back near as much as they think.
The OR in the statement above suggests only picking one, you don't get the option of a way out/plan C. So for me, the obvious answer: Feet for hands.
I definitely agree with everything you said. My main point on having feethands is the aesthetics, as a foot fetish person, the thought of having feet instead of hands is really arousing for me, I think feet look much more cute and sexier than hands, and just imagine how cool is trying to move your fingers, but instead you wiggle your toes, also you would have a pair of feet closer to your face, so you could rest your head on your foot, you could admire your feethands all day, and you could even lick them, suck your toes. For me I would personally love it, specially if I was a girl with cute delicate feet, sure there are disadvangates like reduced dexterity but would only be a matter of getting used to, and adaptation, then you could do tasks just fine. Now, hands for feet would not be cool, they are not made to support a human body weight, it would be painful to walk, if you walk on hot surface you would burn your palms
hands for feet of course!!! Come on people! Have you guys never looked at the monkeys in the zoo and thought like "That's kinda dope" xD
If feet for hands were actually possible, I would get them as soon as possible. I would love having more toes to wiggle, I want to have feethands so bad!
Hands for feet. Then you could do twice as many things! Oh and then we could climb like monkeys!

Hands for feet, like monkeys. That'd be more practical, than the counterpart.
Feet are only good for walking, but hands, hands can do amazing things.
Hands for feet, since feet for hands won't help me hold things.
Hands for feet obviously 😂
