1.4K opinions shared on Other topic. Yes!!! I think it's better to know so you can plan out your time better.
I think a big problem many people have is procrastination.
If time seems unlimited then you can always do something later and that's how so much time gets wasted. But if you know exactly how much time you have left then you're less likely to push things out and you'll use your time more efficiently.
The only reason not to open it is fear in my opinion and I'm not afraid. If I was gonna die in a year I'd rather know now than live my life thinking I'll probably die when I'm 90 and then suddenly I'm dead and I didn't get to do some things I really wanted to.00 Reply

+1 yI don't understand why so many people said that if they knew when they're going die, they'd live out their lives in fear. The only thing that is certain in life is death.
If you could know for certain when your day would come, you could do whatever you wanted without fear of dying, because you'd know when your time was coming.40 Reply
+1 yOf course!
Sure it might scare me a little and it might make me count down the days until my death; but at least I'd know, and I would be able to make more of my life! Besides, death is inevitable, so I'd eventually accept my death date and forget about counting down!00 Reply
+1 yI would definitely open it. I know this way I'd probably live my life differently... if I knew I'd die soon.. I'd do most of the things I've dreamt of... and not think to myself "Ah, some day you'll be able to do it but not now." Time gets a different meaning this way.

+1 yHell yeah, I would. If I'm going to die soon, I want to know, so I don't waste any more of my life at school. Degrees don't help dead men.
But if I have 20+ years left in me, then I can rest assured that I'm not wasting my time by getting a degree. I'll need it so I have somewhere to live and food to eat for however long I get to live after I graduate.
If I was dying in less than 5 years, the very first thing I would do is drop out of school. Then I'd make quick money shoplifting and have the time of my life spending the money for my own pleasure. I'd have nothing to lose.00 Replyi would... then live without fear of my death. i kinda live that way now... God has gifted us with just one life! live it up!
10 ReplyI think that without believing about this kind of things, it doesn't really matter what is done with the envelope 🈚
10 ReplyThat's a very interesting question.. the best I've seen here so far. I would open it, I would want to know when it's coming so I can be prepared.
00 ReplyYes but only if it had the cause of my death in it too, so if I would die a horrible death I would kill myself a day before
00 ReplyNope because then I'd be living in fear up until that day. No way of living
10 Reply1.8K opinions shared on Other topic. While the temptation would be strong to open it I wouldn't. I wouldn't want to know.
10 ReplyOoooo, you could try to make your own Final Destination movie then!

+1 yPeople have a strange relationship to their own mortality. Whether it's tomorrow or in the next twenty years doesn't mean anything. After all it's still you that's dying.
- l'estrange00 Reply How would one know what was inside before opening it... anywho, when I do open it I could care less because I'm not afraid of death
00 Reply
+1 yno, I'd be too afraid of the time limit, even if it's a long time away.
00 ReplyHow would I know that kind of information was inside? Could be a joke.
Anyway seems harmless.00 ReplySure. It would erase uncertainty and allow me to live life to the fullest :)

+1 yI would rather not because it could be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow and it would freak you out. I would rather just live life without knowing when my judgement day comes.

+1 yCertainly, it would help me with arranging my inheritance and estimating how much savings I'll need for my old days.
00 Reply I wouldn't open it. I think knowing would make you worry and not enjoy the time you had left as much as if you didn't know.
10 ReplyYeah for sure, maybe if I start making to most of each day left I had to live or maybe I'd become a POS if I found out I didn't have long which would lead to my death. Determinism is crazy

+1 yYes. This way I can do everything, and the last two hours I can curse out everyone on the phone and tell them "Im going to sleep, please call me tomorrow"
00 ReplyNo way on earth. I'd burn it. Some things you shouldn't know

+1 yI'd would open it cus if i maybe had one year left i would do all the things that i still wanted to do in life just in a quicker rate as normal so when i die i have no regrets bout my life.

+1 yYes. It would be interesting... as death comes to everyone... so I would want to see what happens next without closing my eyes. And remember fear is nothing in front of you.
