Meaning of "I am so fucking proud of you!"?

I know this is a silly question but what is your opinion on what it's like to be proud of someone else? I was told this by someone I know.

Speaking from the perspective of the person saying this... It means you are happy for someone's accomplishments, and you think that person made a good or right decision that will benefit them in some way.

I just deleted my Facebook and that's been our source of communication for 8 years. I gave him my email address and told him to write me there and he did. But when I responded it took him almost a month to reply back cause he couldn't find my messages they were going into spam
