If you found a dragon egg and it hatched, would you keep the baby dragon?

Question

In this hypothetical scenario, you stumble upon a dragon-looking egg lying in or around your house.
As you’re inspecting it, the egg hatches and this little dragon comes out. To prove it’s a dragon, it even breathes a small, short-lived flame.

What do you do from there on out? Do you keep the little guy? Experiment on him? Throw him out? Sell him?

And would you tell anyone about it?

Id keep it. Look after it best i could, follow guidelines based on sensitive lizard breeds, test it to see if it prefers warm or colder environments (lets be real, a warm blooded reptile is nowhere near as far fatched as finding a real dragon egg) though a dragon native to Aus would have to be pretty versatile.
Like the dingo. You know what region its from based on its fur colour.

I would check in with my local ministry of magic and first see if there are any laws prohibiting it. If there were, I would move to the Romanian reserve Charlie Weasley lives on and raise the baby dragon from a hatchling. If it wasn’t illegal, I would make sure to raise it in a huge backyard as it began to grow. :P

My cat is scary enough when it is angry, I don't think I need another reason to fear for my life.
The filthy and unimaginative person I am, I would probably publicize my discovery and auction the dragon off to the highest bidder.

I mean, I have always fantasized about having a personal draconic carrier, but I don't think I'm enough of a "mother of dragons" for that to work out in the realms of reality.

As much as I would like to keep him, I think I would sell it. It is bound to bring a lot of unwanted attention, especially by the government. I can picture scientists wanting to clone him. Why not get some money out of it rather than deal with all the struggle and drama trying to keep him safe?

I'd rather not dwell on things that aren't gonna eventuate... But totally make sure it was growing alright, investigate how it entered you're abode and release it into the wild to be with it's own kind, because domestication would be unfair.

Yeah.. i will keep it for few days, until its able to take its own care.. a little bit.. then i am sending it on a farm... building him.. his own dragon-stable and training him to use his capabilities to make him live and excellent life.. and then researching and finding him a lady dragon.. and if he is up for it... letting him go to live with her..

I guess I'd have to know more about what dragons need to survive and be healthy and happy. If I could take care of it, I'd probably keep it. If not, I'd look up a dragon rescue organization and relinquish it to someone who can take proper care.
