I really like this girl and it' s been really hard for me to get to the place with her where we have started becoming very honest with each other, last night we talked on the phone and she told me she was a virgin, and I asked if she had ever been in love and she said yes there was one guy , and they broke up before school started and she told me she found out he cheated on her during spring brake. Anyway so she then said she wanted to change the topic so I talked about Pokémon (whatever) till she then said she just had to tell me something. And she told me I was just like him, and that's why she had made it so hard for us to become close, just... What does that mean? Like I even asked her what I should do after thinking about it for awhile. She told me just to ignore it so I have been all day and I just haven't mentioned it and she seems happy to talk to me, and flirt with me and stuff. SO is that it? Just ignore it? Was she tiring to say something else? I am well aware this question is all over the place just write back whatever you can:)

You know what? I wouldn't let it eat away at you. She might have said that you were just like him because of your mannerisms or some of your hobbies or likes and THAT'S okay because that just means you're her type. You asked her about it later and she said not to worry about it and you know what, I think you shouldn't. She's probably wishing she never said that in the first place, lol. But you don't want to dwell on it because it may close her off again. You're doing great with her so far (which is SUPER obvious since she was opening her privacy to you so much, and that's a great sign), so whoever you are and however you're being with her is exactly the right thing and is working.

She's been hurt before, and that sucks, but just keep showing her that you're not that guy and go with the flow sweetie.

She could mean it by a little bit of your personality reminds you of him or she could mean she's fallen in love with you like she did with her ex and that she's giving you the ability to totally crush her but trusting you not to.it's how love works falling for someone else after being hurt once is hard work you try to deny yourself from going there again but sometimes just can't help it.don't take it too much to heart because she might have just meant it by saying she's fallen hard for you and just not to hurt her.
