Opinions About BWWM (Black Woman/ White Man Couples) Becoming A Trend?

Noticing this form of interracial dating has really picked up and became sort of a trend in some parts. Wanted to know opinions? Lol, personally the love of my life is white; he's From Britan. I'm African American. We got together because we just really liked each other, it wasn't a particular thing we sought for.

I find it becoming a trend, and I think it's having good and bad affects. Good because I mean diversity is nice and so is being open. However, sometimes it can be a little sad when I see it happening because people want mixed kids, a baby daddy, sugar daddy, money in general, or just because they like trying it out because it's cool at the moment. Not judging, to each their own lol. I just wish I saw a lot more ones solely based on really falling in love with the person instead like in a regular relationship.

I too think it is becoming a trend and most people are doing for the wrong reasons. I mean it's fine if you wanna experience it, but it's def bad for the reasons you listed above cuz that's just stupid and lame.

For some odd reason, I don't like it if it's the other way around (white women/black men couples), I don't know why it bothers though, but I don't give them a hard time for it cuz like you say, to each their own.

I like black girls too, I find them very attractive, I'm open to pursuing a relationship with one, I just don't know if I'd ever marry and settle down with one unless I really cared about her, but I'd rather settle down and marry a woman of my own race.

Trends are just trends, don't let it bother you when others are trending for the wrong reasons, just be glad you're doing what you're doing for the right reasons. You and your man seem very happy together and I hope it stays that way. He's a very lucky guy to have a woman as sweet and beautiful as you.

That's understandable, I suppose it's easier to settle down someone similar to yourself, I can't dent that. And I know I shouldn't let it bother me, it's the emotional part of me that gets all into it. I'm very passionate I suppose, I'm learning to control it. Its not trendy, the ones you see are because they actually care about each other (I think the reverse is true, that its trendy for black men white women relationships, this would explain why they have the highest divorce rate by a significant margin yet white men/black women have the lowest (about 5x lower then the average for same race relationships to be precise, which are more stable in general. Its actually the most secure, statistically speaking, marriage)). I think its becoming more accepted, I also think that both are feeling more comfortable with the idea of dating each other as well as the fact that since your in one you are more likely to notice it more often simply because your more aware then you where before.

I would not call it a trend. It is like any couple. True love does not see color, they just know within themselves that that person is the one and they act accordingly. Looks are artificial and race is a label that was meant to create division, but love ignores all these things and creates unity in the world.

Being a trend I don't know but i have seen these couples for a long time some even married and have kids so i don't think they kid around although i can't be 100% sure

I'm attracted for the same reason, and I know they are a lot of legit and loving ones. They used to be rare to see and that's when it all started picking up a bit. But then social medias really stared promoting it but in weird ways. Like #SwirlGame #SugarDaddy like just weird stuff. And the commentary say the reasons I listed above as their motivation to get in one. Not hating just sad to see it's not for loving the person. But I guess that comes later.

Seems to me that there shouldn't be any barriers to two adults who want to be together, hence it's totally healthy to see more of these couples.

When I had black girlfriends as a teenager and young adult 25-30 years ago, there was a lot of negative energy directed at this particular type of interracial coupling, mostly from black males.
