How are refugees from poor countries able to afford nice cars and things already?

Question

There have been a lot of refugees being moved into my city and a good amount are Asians. They've only been here for a few years and they already have newer iphones, tablets, luxury/more expensive cars (some have Mercedes and audis). They all came from poor areas in their previous country and it seems like the ones without kids have more than the ones with kids. Does the government give them money or something? I'm sure they've given them furniture and probably something like food stamps or whatever but the US barely wants to help the people already living here, especially the homeless population.

They are not getting money from the US government. Maybe they've been here longer than you think. Is "a few years" five or ten or maybe twenty? They may get support from more established relatives or friends, or maybe they just work hard and save money for durable goods, or maybe they came with professional skills (or acquired them by attending school) and are earning high wages.

What is the one singular most expensive bill you have? Rent/house! What are refugees usually given free? A place to live.

I waste away 13,200 a year in rent. That is a new car in only a few years.

Also please don't forget about leases and financing.

Same here, Syrian refugees came running from a war and now they have business all around the city some don't even allow employees from our country! I really wish we never accepted them, here we are fighting their war and suffering instead of them while they just mess up our cities and live a luxurious life...

Not all refugees are unskilled laborers, some are professionals who are getting paid well for their work here. I don't know for sure if the things you claim are true. But for example, lawyers, doctors, scientist, computer tech. Flee a warzone, they don't forget their craft, they can use it where the go.

Poor country doesn't everybody is poor. There was rich people in poor coubtrys aswell. And most poor countrys have huge car taxes. I am not an immigarnt but I live in a poor country aswell. I have a bmw 5 series which cost in germany 50.000 dollar but in my country its 200.000 dollars. İf ı live in us or germany I can easily afford a lamborghini.

I know someone who moved from Bangladesh 20 years ago, started a business and is now one of the richest in the city. It’s because these people are hardworking unlike most us Americans.
