Candidly, anytime my girlfriend pays me a compliment. Especially - but not only - when it comes to sex.

If she tells me I'm a good dad - we have three children. If she says after we have sex that it made her feel especially good. If she compliments something I wrote. (I, in part, write for a living.) If she thanks me for helping around the house. If she tells me I look handsome or sexy.

It is less what I am getting the compliment for, than who it is who is complimenting me. My girlfriend - and my kids - can make me feel ten feet tall.

You ask for it;

1. When someone says thank you for your kind words, I feel like my ego is satisfied that it is virtuous.

2. When inspiring creative thoughts, and they say wow i never thought of it like that before. I have abilities to change people's thinking! so ego goes up.

3. When someone is struggling with depression and I look through pages and pages of sites to try and find creative ways to help them if i wasn't creative enough. I pretend I'm creative so they trust me! Feeds my ego because yeah I trick them!

It's pretty nice to be complemented on any facial structure, jawline and nose bridge for me. Body compliments are very motivational they just make you wanna keep pumping more iron. Sexual compliments make you feel great for a long time.

Also friends. If you have loyal friends damn man it'd be an honour to get into a scrap with them win or lose against someone and that gives you an ego knowing the bullies at pubs end up flattened if they grab one of my mates.

You could also quick look in your trousers bang ego boost but this might do the opposite too.

When I get things right, which unfortunately does not happen that often... And random girls and guys that pay me a compliment. Like how someone liked my labyrinth shirt from hot topic. But I assume with the exception of the T-shirt that most people feel that way
