I think most people think of scorpions as living in the desert but in Malaysia they had some living in the woods and on trees. I rested my hand on a tree one time only to get stung by one, and it was the most painful sting I've ever received from an insect (second worst was a wasp, but it wasn't nearly as bad). So now I have a slight phobia of scorpions.

That said, desert scorpions don't seem nearly as bad to me (though I've never encountered them), because you can at least see them out in the open. The thing that freaked me out and surprised me when I got stung was that the scorpion largely camouflaged with the tree, so I got this really painful sting out of the blue.

I got a doubly-whammy when I was stung since first there was the pain and second was seeing the scorpion on the tree stinging me, and I back then I thought scorpions only lived on the desert. So there was the pain combined with the shock of seeing a creature I didn't think existed in that environment.

I hate hornets and wasp. I've killed probably 30-40 this year already buzzing around my house trying to build a nest. I've got at least 5-6 different nests in their beginning stages.

I keep cans of this stuff stocked at all times and walk around my house a couple of times a week looking for the devils. If you slack off for even a few weeks they'll have some nest going with 20-30 wasp on it. Kill them all!!!

I hope that you never see one either! They can get pretty big, poisonous and they're hideous! I used to live in the country and those things would come out in the summer time and one bit my boyfriend's big toe when he fell asleep in on the porch barefooted, I was shocked to see that where the insect had bitten him there was blood. Anyway, he had to go to the emergency room and get an injection in that toe.

I learned to love insects overtime. It’s kind of like living with that annoying relative who jump st blends in. I have lived with ants 🐜 in my house my whole life. I used to scream at them , but now when they pass but I throw them a bread crumb. They are like a second family to me. 😍

Well I didn't really make up that shower one..

A big wolf spider was thirsty. And instead of crawling into the tub like they normally would. It crawled onto the damn SHOWER HEAD to get a drink!
And I didn't see it. So when I turned the water on. BOOM. Literally landed ON MY FACE and was writhing around like spiders do and fell-crawled down me while I was trying to get the hell out of there. And I slipped and fell and crushed it under my chest. And my mom had to use a sewing needle to get one of it's fangs out of my chest. (I was like 9).

Not the only time I've come in contact with a big spider. But BY FAR the worst.
