I certainly wish the elf or hobbit guys (after they shaved their feet, of course) got it on with taller women in Middle Earth.

Tolkien didn't really focus much on the interracial/interspecies romantic segments. I am sure you'd have had some who did, actually I am somwhat confident I even read a few lines about it. Although going by the fiction elves were probably more pleasing on the eye. And of course they have the added benefit of equally long lifespans.

Tolkien did create a story of an elf in love with a human woman. They are Aegnor, brother of Finrod, and Andreth of the House of Bëor, in Beleriand during the First Age of the Sun. That is told in the History of Middle-Earth.
