How Would A Dullahan Drink/ Eat And Do They Need To?

Odd question I'm sure but think about it, a Dullahan is a individual with a detached head and they carry that said head so do they put it back on to drink and eat or can they not consume these at all?

Additionally, could a Dullahan replace one head, the original head, with a different head? I mean, I don't see why they would want to but would the possibility be there? :/

I doubt it, isn't it the point of them carrying their head around that their consciousness/mind is still in there? If they were able to somehow move their mind into another head then maybe.

Don't they just put food down their neckhole? No idea how the head stays fed though.

I'm not entirely sure, I feel like it's possible for them to do so but at the same time I think that maybe they don't eat :/ don't know, that's the point of a question though, to get multiple opinions :)

If you go strictly by the old myths, they're undead and don't need to. If you go by some JRPG, they can detach their heads at will, thus increasing their fighting prowess. Others have them as feeding off of sexual energy.

It just came to me, don't know why but for some reason I just thought about them and then continued to think about the inconveniences in daily life that they must endure :p This is why my posts are so random ^_^

Oh! I did research on mythical creatures in my own spare time whenever I have free time, if I'm bored I will just search up mythical creatures and I might start off with a Cerberus but then finish off with Mandrakes or like this post implies, a Dullahan :) Just general research and it started when I saw a movie with one in it and then I searched the movie character up then I saw that the Headless horseman was known as a Dullahan and after that I continued on to research further about folk stories on the dullahan :p pretty lame for other people I guess but I find it to be rather interesting :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Researching mythical creatures is something we weren't taught about in school but rather they were such minor characters in stories we heard about that we caught on to it and thus resulting in a huge research in my spare time. I heard about most of them from Greek mythology, something we didn't learn but rather occasionally hear about during history class :p

Apparently a goddess of magic, moon, witchcraft and necromancy. Additionally she was said to be the only child of the titans Perses and Asteria. I researched her after this comment, I had heard of her before but I hadn't looked into it :p

Apparently her name in Greek was with a "K" and pronounced like He-Kah-Tay, Hekate but this was probably changed to Hecate later on due to other countries and their spellings :p

She supposedly married someone called Aeetes and gave birth to two daughters one called Kirke (Circe) and another called Medea and finally a son called Aigialeus

All of this is true. Hecate is my patron deity. Many people think she is left over from the aboriginal inhabitants of Ancient Greece who were wiped out or assimilated when the Achaeans first invaded.
