These two classifications of vehicles besides motorcycles are my favorite.
The lifted truck is the living embodiment of what I would consider the be all do all manly vehicle. Using it to go camping, for work. Etc.
Where as sports cars are just flat out sexy af šš¤¤ with the purring engine sound when on idle and using a manual transmission to shift through all the gears, feeling the torque hit you to the core, and hear the rpmās rise as the engine screams and echoās off the buildings on the street.
I love both. And either way my next vehicle purchase will be one of the two.
Iām leaving the question up for girls to answer too since I know that women also like cars and trucks too so... have at it. Which one would you pick?
Now that's a tough god damned question. I'm gonna go with truck for a few reasons:
1. They're more useful than a sports car. Most high end trucks are 4x4's so they handle in the snow (unlike every sports car ever made), and you can haul stuff with it. Even though 90% of people who own lifted trucks don't even know how to drive the damn things let alone haul stuff with it, I could be the exception.
2. People like me will think you're either a redneck or an old guy if you have drive a nice truck, and that you probably have about two brain cells dedicated to driving and heaven forbid... parking it properly. But, it's better than people thinking I'm an overcompensating metrosexual douchebag who cares about designer brands and who gets bottle service at 'the club'.
3. The most badass lifted, custom conversion truck ever made costs about a tenth of what a high end sports car does. Having a nice truck says to people you're willing to invest in nice things, but you're not pretentious enough to go overboard and dump hundreds of thousands or even millions into a stupid ass car. You're likely to be a normal guy who knows quality, rather than a rich fucker who likes to show it off.
4. If you're in Texas, driving a Ford Raptor is like owning a Lambo. And you won't get called a pussy, either.
5. You can hang a gun in a truck
6. There's a certain type of girl who gets all hot & bothered by a pickup truck that sounds like a Freightliner when you start it up. They can fight better and drink more whiskey than you can, guaranteed. They make girls who like sports cars look like simps.
7. You can't fuck in the back of a sports car.
8. People who work for a living don't drive sports cars. Period.
I've driven both a lifted truck, black with monster tires, a thick steel bar and plow in front, and a sports car (old model Mustang). I liked them both very well but voted Truck because people seemed intimidated by my vehicle on the road.
If it was for my personal use I would pick the truck, but not as big as the F-150, the Ford Ranger Wiltrak would do for me since a regular size would already suffice.
I would consider getting a 2.0 since this will not eat up so much gas which in the longevity side will be preferable especially if I will use it for long trips. A 3.0 will be more gas consuming I will not choose that.
Personally, I find it nice if a guy drives a truck may this be regular or as big as the F-150 if this is what he is into I think it is nice. But if he is not a truck type of guy it would be best not to go for a truck.
Since you like trucks I feel it is not a bad idea to get a truck but do consider multiple things before you decide if you would like a Sports Car or Truck, 1. gas consumption (pick the right type of engine that will not eat up so much gas) 2. After sales service (Servicing cost if it fits your preference)3. Space to Park in your home or in public areas. 4 How willing are you to drive a truck everyday or would you rather prefer a compact vehicle.
I find the truck appealing I think it is suitable for you.
lol such an āurbanā truck. You sure you would want to take that camping, getting dirty and scratched when doing 4WD? Itās too āprettyā to take on the dirt roads. I can see it being a work truck but thatās pushing it.
Sports cars? Insurance cost a lot (well i know here does anyways) and we can only ride it x amounts of times a week. Donāt get me wrong theyāre great but maintaining them is a fuck load. You can only take them to the dealership to get them done because no one would want to touch a sports car thatās been serviced outside of the dealership (thatās if you intend to sell it after).
Find something in between. Get a reasonable sports car that you can mod to take off road. That way you can add features/accessories you want and have your own touch on it. No one else would have the same car in that case.
A truck seems like it would be more handy right now. The one that can do everything most important. Then when thatās all settled treat yourself to the ā hotā car for your pleasures xD.
I would pick a lifted truck, but I'd want it to be an SUV so it would be practical to put stuff in without it getting stolen. I don't like being in sports cars because they are too low to the ground when I get in/out and they seem small inside so I feel squished.
Sports cars are awesome as a second or third vehicle. I just don't think I could spend a ton of money on something like a Corvette and feel comfortable driving it through all the seasons. A truck is a more comfortable fit for me.
I already have both, so how can I choose? lol I guess if I had to, Iād go with a truck. A truck can do anything a car can do, but not vice versa. Plus driving a sports car in the winter here just wouldnāt work
Yeah, doesnāt take much to get 600hp out of a diesel now. Lots of fast gas trucks running around too, thereās a few GMs around here making close to 1000 on the street
