My nephew is named that because my brother in law is into Geology because it’s the name of a rock. To me it’s kinda ridiculous, but whatever. I just call him “Pal” and “Buddy” because he’s basically my Mini-Me and follows me everywhere and loves me so much. If I talk while he’s napping he’ll wake up and try to find me.

Meh. I like traditional names like William, Robert etc.
I like that name, which is saying a lot because it took me forever to come up with a name I liked for my son.

I think it's a great name. The Aussie town of Marble Bar didn't when they found out what they thought was valuable Marble was in fact Jasper. (Bit of possibly useless info for you) 😂🤣

The name Jasper means "Treasurer" so he will probably be a hit with the ladies, which means you might get some Grandkiddies 😊
Possible nicknames: Jazz, JP ("JayPee").
Great name. Sorry for the useless info but.. I've been drinking. 😂I really like that name. And it comes with Jazz as a nickname, which I think is absolutely adorable. And depending on the kids middle name, he could go by his first two initials. A lot of boys with J names do that. Or he could use his first and last initials.
All I will say is that it also reminds me of twilight. Jasper was my favorite character in Twilight, so it’s not a bad association, but I don’t know if that’s what you’re going for.its hard to be original these days with so many of us. Perhaps its best to think of names in terms of whats safe. Jasper is a good safe name. Also generally whatever you name your child (excluding silly names ofcourse) they will grow into and assume that identity. In other words regardless of the name it will end up fitting.
Coming from the UK a kid called Jasper is going to have a hard time going to school in a rough/working class area on the flip side a kid called Jasper is going to fit in perfectly going to school in an upper class/privilege area... basically my point is, if you're going to call a kid Jasper then know your audience! lol
I'm biased. The last interaction with a guy named Jasper that I had was with a geek squad member who fucked my computer up.
If you do have a kid and name his Jasper, I recommend naming his sibling Wyoming... or Alberta. It's perfect..
Let's just hope...
He doesn't gets converted to vampire..
And gets in relationship with AliceKing Jasper the Wicked
A child satyr in the book Kingdom of WillowsStupid.
Good name for a national park or a moose, horrible name for a person.
Why? Are you pregnant?Every name is unique. It has to fit the babies personality. So it depends on how the baby is. They often don't name children until a few days after birth in the ancient days for a reason.
awwwww!!! Whose baby? So cute!!!
Jasper seems kind of like an Australian name. It kind of sounds like a mechanics name but it is a name you don't hear too often eitherJasper is a terrible name, its cute for pets and babies, but the kid won't be a baby forever.
Gaspar! Thats a real name. If I am not mistaken its probably the non-corrupted/original version of Jasper.Yeah , i think it's cute , quite different but there is
different names coming out than years ago people
are naming girls Meadow , boys are being name
Malachai like Children of the Corn. Yes so i like it.its freaking cute imao. I'd shorten it to Jase for a nickname. There are different new names on net like Lathan, Kason, Kasper and such. Yet Jasper sounds both modern and sorta classy.
As long as it's not in reference to Twilight, I think it's pretty cool

Are you in a family way?
Its unique. I've never met a jasper. Probably won't be many other people with the same name. Its not bad
Yeah thats fine my mates son is named jasper bit of a lady man too
Mmm it’s not bad. Unique, I like that. Vaguely familiar in a way I can’t quite put my finger on.
That’s actually a funny name lol. I’ve only heard that name from cartoons.
I think its adorable. Not super common but common enough for people to say it correctly.
