I have a penpal that hasn't responded to me for a while now?

My penpal is from Japan, we know about each other through this connecting youths from all over the world program that was held during the first week of July, but we only started to talk to each other on the 13th. Anyway, we communicate through email (since it's easier, but we did use legit letters during the first time). We actually talked a lot on the 13th but she has stopped responding afterwards. I thought that it was because I might have offend her, but when I checked what I wrote, I didn't do such things. Plus, we were only talking about culture and stuff.

The question is, should I write to her again even though she haven't replied my last email (which was on the 14th)? She might have lost it or something, but what if she read it and she just don't want to reply? A friend thought that I should write to her again because if I don't, we'll probably never ever going to talk to each other again.

Any ideas on what I should do?

It seems like you have experience in being treated in such a way by others and now you think that you shouldn't waste your time on such people because you have wasted a lot of your time for them in the past.
