Have you ever been to a music festival?

I went to one this weekend called "boots and hearts" I fking hate country music but I enjoy free alcohol.

I actually went to that same festival however was back in 2017 and I only bought a 1 day ticket. weather was kind of iffy that day so only got to see 2 bands play.

felt the whole thing was over rated , also kind of expensive to go by yourself , parking pass for 1 day costs around $50 , which to someone like me is a lot , wouldn't even spend that much money downtown on a typical Saturday night , to spend that much on parking really blows my budget to the point I feel I'm spending too much

although I know a lot of people who have been to Boots and they pretty much all had a great time , a lot went more than once and camped there the whole weekend

Yeah, we went with 6 people. Single day parking is still $50. 4 day parking is $150. It's easy to split among that many people.

its just not affordable to attend as a single person , also mostly a younger crowd , although is still older people there. a lot of girls from my area went there this year ( servers and such from restaurants I go to ) , they look forward to it all summer but myself I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars to go to 1 concert , at some point the visa bill arrives in the mail and you actually have to pay it

also can't think of anything in this area where I've ever had to pay $50 just to park my car , I've been to the automotive flea market that they have on the same site and they didn't even charge for parking. also been to wasaga beach on long weekends over the years and you could still park there for $10 , really can't recall anything that cost that much it just seems way too high

it was a mistake to go by myself , was a girl that expressed interest in me going in 2018 , remember she specifically asked if I was going that year , but I didn't have any extra money that summer , she was hot too and realise now I blew my chance with her , this year she has a boyfriend and only went down for the Sunday concert , either with her gf's or boyfriend , not sure ,

Yes I have. It's called Rockfest, it's happens every April. Sometimes they don't have the bands I'd be willing to pay money to see.
But I've seen Seether there twice. Hellyeah, Nonpoint, Red, Fozzy, Starset, Five Finger Death Punch, 10 Years and others.

Yup. Hanging out in a giant grass field after paying an obscene amount to get inside to barely hear the bands on shitty speakers while sweaty packs of unwashed hippies crashed in to me and felt me up in line to pay $19 for a bottle of water because you're allowed to bring anything inside of your own, after all, if you did that, how could they fuck you out of every last cent you have?
Hard to believe I never went back.

Yes, a four-day festival with tent camping. A good experience but I don't know if I'd do it again.

Used to go to Summer Fest in Milwaukee. Then they got stupid with the authority and security. Talk about a loss of freedoms. No 4th amendment right. Its like the TSA. Not going no more.

Nah I do concerts than festivals I pick the band I like and go to it. Meet new people and not so crowded. Everyone goes for the free alcohol not the music.
