Do you have heterochromia?

Question

I have  sectoral heterochromia . My eyes are both blue, but there's a portion of my left eye that is brown. Here are examples of people with sectoral heterochromia. Mine is similar to the bottom right photo, except my brown portion is slightly lower. Sectoral heterochromia is actually statistically rarer than  complete heterochromia , in which both eyes are completely different colors: Even rarer are people with both sectoral and complete heterochromia: There are also people with  central heterochromia , in which the area around their pupils is different in color from the rest of their eye: Do you have any type of heterochromia? If not, what do you think of heterochromia, and have you personally met anyone with heterochromia? What about anybody who's genetically related to you (it's a genetic defect - my half brother also has it)? Let me know!

I have central heterochromia. From the inside to the outside, my eyes have an orangeish brown color, and then a hazel section that changes in different lighting, and then a very light almost lime green, then a dark blue, and then a forest green. My eyes have a lot of colors. It’s weird. And it confuses people.

I’m also legally blind, and have been seriously visually impaired for my whole life. So I’ve never been able to get a very good look at my eyes. To me they mostly look green and hazel. I can’t make out most of the other colors, as lights act weird when I stick my glasses in front of a mirror, and I can’t see anything without my glasses.

People would make comments about my eyes, and say they’re cool, and then always say they were a different color than the person who had previously commented on them. Everyone had a different opinion, and it was very confusing and frustrating. A friend of mine got a high quality close up picture of them for me though, and that was the first time I’d ever actually seen all the different colors in them. It was nice to finally know why everyone seemed to think my eyes were a different color.

Heterochromia seems to run in my family. My little brother has it too. His goes from a mossy green color to a sky blue color. I honestly believe that my little brother has the most stunning eyes I’ve ever seen.

My other brother also has pretty eyes. But no heterochromia. His eyes are just the bluest shade of blue to ever exist.

That’s basically my way of saying that I wish my eyes were more blue.

I have a little heterochromia actually. On my profile picture it's not visible as my eyes are brown coloured, but on a sunny day, my right eye has a strip of green at the bottom, and my left eye has a green strip at the top. Strange right? But it's actually not very noticeable. I myself did not realise until my boyfriend pointed it out during last summer.

My eyes are a green-blue mess, but my optometrist never mentioned anything, so I never identified myself as part of the heterochromia gang.

Me and my mum both have central heterochromia. The outside of our eyes are a greyish green and the centre, a golden brown. You can only tell close up and in certain lighting, it can sometimes appear that my eyes change colour.

I really it, but I am a biology nerd, so I don't know how valid my opinion really is. Maybe I only really like it because of my love for biology, maybe I genuinely love how it looks. The world may never know.

Sounds like bullshit to me. My eyes do change from green in the winter to blue in the summer though.

That last eye looks similar to mine. A small bit of brown or green around the pupil. With blue eyes.
