Why is it important to pretend that you are very happy?

Why can't one be oneself if sad , sad when happy , happy. Why he always has to pretend that he is so happy. Is being so fake is really important?

I think there's some science behind this question that for example if you force yourself to smile it actually improves your mood. I think it's important to be happy because most people don't say it's important to be unhappy so I think you should try pretending to be happy and if that doesn't work try other things until you feel a little more happy. push out the things one by one and small doses that might not make you happy or actually make you unhappy.

I pretend to be happy too, I got used to pretending to be happy over the years. I don't want to hurt those around me so I keep my pain and misery to myself. Yet, I have started opening up to my family a little now, but only because I was ready to talk about it with them. If they pushed me for before I was ready I would get angry and tell them to back off. It was hard, but I had to wait until I was ready to talk about it.

Because this world is of fake people. Everything is fake right from wishing your boss a good morning which you don't want to wearing clothes all day long we have to remain fake. That's how this world works. And they say life is beautiful. God damn how can being fake be beautiful

The human brain is strange , if you convince yourself that you are sad you will be sad , if you pretent that you are happy your mood will be much better, even fake smile can make you happier
