Why is wanting to look good frowned upon?

For both genders by the way, but I've had flack predominantly from body positivity people that I'm doing a disservice by posting gym videos with the tag body positivity.

Not hating on plus sized people, if you're happy great but why on earth has going to the gym meant you're insecure or vain?

I don't think that it is.

I guess it lies in the details as to what "looking good" is.

Cosmetic surgery, piercings, tattoos... etc. you'll get into tastes and opinions.

Just being healthy and having nice skin and nice hair, dressing stylish. I don't think anyone has anything against that.

There’s nothing wrong with what your doing good on for wanting to get in shape and have a fit, healthy and active life style.

Nothing but respect for people like that.

a lot of body positivity people are usually people who tried and failed to do what your doing and or are insecure about their own bodies. So don’t take what they’re saying seriously m.

I was doing some cardio, just jog as long as I can, trying to get to a 10minute mile but my best is 13minutes.
Then I was doing 531 with my buddy but we've been busy and haven't gone

I've never met a "body positivity" person in real life. I can't think of anything more positive for your body than getting it healthy and strong.
