Moving to the US, is it better to buy or lease a car?

Hi Guys, I'm relocating to Austin for at least 2 years and trying to figure out the process of getting a car AND also weighting the options of buying VS leasing one?

In this specific scenario, leasing. You’d get to drive a new car and you don’t have to worry about maintenance, oil changes, selling the car, etc.

you don't "sell" a leased car back. you're renting it from a car dealership for a certain period of time, then give it back when that time is up.

leasing probably better if you're only going to be in the US for two years and assuming you're not going to bring the car back with you to your country.

a new car is way too expensive and you're taking a gamble with a cheap used car that it may be junk.

sorry, i don't know the answer to either of those questions. if you do some searches on the US version of youtube, you'll find videos explaining the process and details.

Leading is best for short term. If you plan on keeping it for more than a couple years, buying is less expensive.

Nope it’s like a contract. You give the car back after a certain time frame
