Why is the site called girlsaskguys and not guysaskgirls?

While it is called girlsaskguys that probably because guysaskgirls is later alphabetically (guy after girl) and they had to choose one for the URL. However, if you go to guysaskgirls. com, it will redirect you to girlsaskguys. com, so they bought both domains.

BUT!

Look closely at the icon...

This website's logo.

Notice the arrows and the "ask" in the middle.

You read it "girls ask guys" left to right with the pink right-pointing arrow below the "ask", but with the blue arrow left pointing arrow above the "ask", you read it as "guys ask girls".

It's a rather smart logo!

So, really, this site is both girlsaskguys. com and guysaskgirls. com. It's just that the first one is the primary URL for the English version of this platform.

There is a limit what can be done with a one dimensional text/script flow of left to right. However, they did put the circular arrows in the center to indicate the questions flow both ways.

I'm picturing a committee forming focus groups and discovering that girlsaskguys will get more responses over guysaskgirls by 51% to 49% which wasn't a statistically significant margin given their sample size, but they never bothered to calculate that and just went with a resounding "girlsaskguys is better and science proves it".
