How often you regret the things you've done vs. the things you haven't done?

I don't really regret anything since I'm pretty content with where I am. I figure if I altered the past some way, I might gamble ending up in some totally different place I might not like as much.

I never saw the point of regretting the things we didn't do though since they might have turned out horribly. If there's something worth regretting a while as I see it, it's doing something that turns out to be a big mistake. Then I think it's useful to regret things for a while and then move on and try not to repeat it.

My regrets tend to be very short-lived. For example, the other week I accidentally botched my cooking by burning the dish. Regretted that. Don't regret it now though since some weeks have passed and I'm happy where I am. Maybe if I didn't burn the dish, I would have eaten it and choked to death and be dead right now. I have no idea.

For me and I would assume for most people, could be wrong, it's probably the things they didn't do instead of not doing

well if someone was being an a** I think I handled it well, but I also regret telling my crush I like him through note, I should have told him in person
