A company called PAL-V developed a flying car using gyrocopter technology a few years ago. It was launched commercially in 2019 with first deliveries due spring 2020 - obviously there was a delay, but the first few were delivered. It's around $500k, so there are road cars more expensive out there.
I prefer the PAL-V over this one as it can use a near vertical takeoff/landing so it's more user friendly if you don't have an airfield near you.
But yes, I'd fly it.
Sure. I got nothing to live for.
Though considering how many road accidents happen without wings and going in just 3 directions (straight, left, or right), I seriously doubt we'll have flying cars be a modern thing. The insurance itself would be astronomical. Plus, you'd need a pilot's license; something George Jetson never showed you failing sixteen times in a row.
I'm surprised more men don't try fixing wings on cars.
Yes. Yes I would. 👀 Let me FLY in a cool car please.
No cool car for u!
yes cool car for her!

I have plans to be an old man one day and I don't think this is conducive to that goal!
NO, I'm aiming for the Switchblade by Samson Motors Inc, instead.

Unfortunately, it's still under development. But when it's readyā¦ OH, when it's ready, driving and flying that thing will be sweet.
That thing doesn't quite look aesthetic but I feel it makes up for it in everything else š
I definitely would. I hope I live long enough to see a day where flying transportation is the norm. My only reservations would be law enforcement on it. It would be much harder to keep track of reckless flying than reckless driving because there's way more area to cover.
Yeah, I was thinking about the worst possible scenarios about this stuff. We'd have to put a lot of trust in an already very narrowed pool of people that would be qualified to fly them. And even still, what would happen if this stuff gets stolen, weaponized, etc. š A whole host of dangers are ahead!
I am from Slovakia. The country where this thing was invented. And yi have to say that I would not take it. It certainly looks efficient and that mechanism that hides the winds looks cool as hell but I don't know. I prefer train or an actual plane. But as a invention it's nice
Sign me the flock up, make sure I have clearance on the runway & Iāll be airborne in a heartbeat. Every pilot needs a co-pilot, ladies any volunteers?
If they give it a decent weapons systems and ECCM system, then yes.
someone flying too slow in front of you, switch to guns,
arsehole cut you up - Fox 2
what in the sci-fi
@Sonorous nope fitting something like a XM301
Once those cars become common place, you need to defend your piece of sky from interlopers.

It is not a real flying car. It is more like a plane that you can drive on the road. This is not new. It has been around in one form or another for over 20 years. I want one that does not need a runway to take off or land.
No runway...

I would after numerous successful tests and also testimonials from satisfied owners. I'll gladly buy 2.
Yes for sure I've actually seen a couple other ones that are little bit better than that one but yeah I would fly in that
No, thank you. I rarely can drive on the ground so I donāt need killing people also while flying a car!😅
It would have to be certified with quarterly/annual inspections otherwise peep would be crashing due to lack of maintenance.
Bunun uygulanması biraz zor. Havada yüksek ve dar binalar olacaÄı için bu araçların çoÄundan kaza yapmak çok daha fazla olacak gibi hissediyorum.
This is a little difficult to implement. I feel like it will be much more crashing than most of these vehicles as there will be high and narrow buildings in the air.
I won't date a trans girl.
I won't fly a trans car.
Give me a REAL airplane.
āāā ā
This is still a plane.
The fact that this thing flies using the principle of an airplane, but in the form of a half car, does not make it a flying car.
We need a car that can fly using anti-gravitational engine.
No, I would not buy one of these.
The amount of drag and the shape would give it the flight characteristics of a brick.
Of course!
Are you kidding? That would be great
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you:
THE SWIMMING MOTORBIKE
Depends on who is driving.
Sure I get in. Getting out of it would be my problem.
