Why are there so many racists and bigots on this site?

Ok, this is just a theory here, so bear with me...

1. Because so many American males believe in Freedom of Speech.

2. The site sets it up so "You can't block anonymous askers because we are a site built on allowing users to ask questions and we want users to be able to share with everyone on the site."

3. The staff for the site is pretty small, and they allow some chosen users to be Moderators to help to remove the crap off of it. But some Mods are biased, and because of 1 and 2, the site is now overrun with trash who push out an endless supply. And even if some users break the rules and codes of conduct, and they are frozen temporarily, or their account closed, there's nothing to stop them from creating a new account. All they need is a fresh email address. People have figured this out. So they spam and harass to their heart's delight.

Then the nice and good people leave. Which only exacerbates the quality of the people and content.

I mean I'm also on reddit, but I've never seen any openly racist comments there. Obviously lack of sufficient moderation is the cause of this phenomenon.

The short answer is no, you cannot block anonymous askers. The site SAYS they don't allow it.

BUT... SOMETIMES, OCCASIONALLY, THE OPTION IS THERE, BUT MOSTLY IT IS NOT. Wth does that mean? But I've contacted the site about it, and they simply act as if I'm not asking the question. (Or I start thinking we're having a communication error.) They reply back with a pat answer of "You can't block anonymous askers because we are a site built on allowing users to ask questions and we want users to be able to share with everyone on the site. There are a lot of anonymous askers who are not spammer/trolls but would still like your help/opinions."
Do you think we should be able to block individual anon question askers and mytake writers, and anon commenters on others' questions? ↗

Last night, after I saw your reply to me, I check your question. And I COULD block you. Why?
This morning, I checked on my phone, and the option to block you (on this question) does NOT exist.
But it exists here, right now, on the desktop version. (Even when I refresh the page, it's still there.)
Sometimes I have thought they're doing A-B testing on us. (We're rats in an experiment, ya know?)
Sometimes I think it's a programming error.
Sometimes I think they have MPD and just can't decide. (But to me, they deny that the option exists... sometimes.)
Sometimes I think it's the difference between app and web versions of the site capabilities.

But it does not exist on the web version on this guy's question:

So. Two anonymous askers, one male, one female. One asking a perfectly reasonable question. One wanting to annihilate all the poor people on the planet, and guess which one can randomly be blocked right now?' It's bizarre, to say the least.

But I'd say 9.5/10, we cannot block anons. But I check randomly, as I know others do, because once in a while you can.

Sadly, it really isn't that shocking if you look at the state of this country right now. People openly rallying for saving confederate flags/statues, the alt right groups who attempted an insurrection, and a rotten citrus fruit, former president, and would be emperor igniting race wars in this country.

It got way out of control and still is. It is a massive overcorrection from minorities in this country not only finding spots in the highest levels of government in this country, but also just new coming out that a white demographic is going to soon to be the minority and that is scaring some of the more dangerous minds of this country.

This site is part of the internet. Mean and nasty people love the internet; they get to exhibit themselves freely on it and the relative anonymity it affords them shields them from accountability for doing so.
