Effort solves everything.

Being smart is irrelevant. I’ve met plenty of smart, miserable, zero accomplishment people.

Being rich is irrelevant. Again, I’ve met plenty of rich, miserable, zero accomplishment ( being lucky to pick a startup that did well isn’t an accomplishment ) people.

I’ve worked like crazy ( and taken fat risks ) to be healthy, adventure well, help people, and have awesome kids.

Every time people ask how I do things my answer is “effort”. Effort is the secret sauce

Just how much your credit score affects you. I have always been super diligent with mine, but way too many people I know who never paid attention to theirs and never received any education about it.

I was raised that credit was evil. Never had a credit card or a loan. I paid for everything in cash. That incudes my cars and farm

Not everyone has that luxury and credit isn't evil. Credit is absolutely fine if you have impulse control. It is kind of like food, don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach.

Luxury, it took me 20 plus years to save the cash to buy a farm, working my ass off with more then one job. Paying with cash is hard work.

Let me know how much of a luxury it is to save up 40 thousand dollars in cash with no bank account

Some people won't even be able to save that much let alone have anything at all for retirement because they don't have impulse control. They basically work until they did just to get by

The importance of thinking about retirement when you are young. It’s impossible to save enough if you start late. Thankfully my parents gave me good advice and I taught my husband.

So many things but I wish I knew that carrots were really cheap. I didn't really look around in the veggie & fruits section that much before. I left it to the mother growing up in and in my bachelor days, I didn't really eat things like fruits and veggies unless they came as part of a meal (like lettuce and tomatoes with cheeseburger). I actually like carrots, and they're super cheap.
