Educated people realise that this organisation existed briefly in late C18th Bavaria (Southern Germany) but hasn't existed for around 200 years
Poorly-educated people may well believe that the Illuminati are still in existence, in a strange worldwide conspiracy involving Jews, Freemasons, Muslims, communists, international financiers, the British royal family, the UN, and aliens, who are part of a New World Order/Deep State who for reasons best known to themselves, waste time and energy pretending the world is flat, faking moon landings, assassinating Tupac & JFK, faking climate change, faking 9/11 and putting chemicals in toothpaste to turn everyone into lesbians. Strangely enough, the only people to know about this conspiracy are people who flunked at school and have to get their sister/wife to help them put an X on important documents.
Still, they provide hours of amusement for the rest of us.
A few sad B-List Celebrities pretend to be in the nonexistent Illuminati, to try and make themselves look interesting.
It's a group from medieval1776 that wanted to enlighten people on how unreal all the superstitions surrounding religion. It was villianfied by catholic churches and government because they didn't like what they were trying to teach.
The myth of them is the conspiracy theorists who thought the name sounds hard so they made it into a secret group that runs the world.
The irony is they were formed to debunk superstition, and ended up becoming legends by superstitious conspiracy theories.
at least there once was a secret organization called the Freimaurer or freemasons which is the predescessor or inspiration on what the Illuminati are based on.
A secret shadow government controlling the entire world on the other hand isn't true.
Or at least not in the way Illuminati are depicted in fiction, eg Dan Browns Illuminati.
Whats more real are special clubs for rich and super rich guys, who push each other in positions of political power, and controll governments by influencing politicians with money. Both of the George W. Bush Presidents were part of it, since college and their selective sorrority they've been supported this way.
So you are fully aware that there infact is a secret shadow government ruling the world and describe aspects of it but you still dont think that its real.
All I will say is this: if a secret group or "shadow government" really did not exist then you wouldn't have people go missing or ending up dead for talking about things they weren't supposed to, or were about to. People other than scientists and politicians would not be restricted from going down to Antarctica. There would be no secret library in the Vatican restricted from the general public. And NASA wouldn't be hiding the truth for so long.
There would be absolutely no need for any kind of secrecy or secret groups period.
Just talk to a person who actually think it exists and is a prevalent thing in our world right now and you will slowly backway realising there crazy. Because no it isn't even if it did exist in the past as not anything like what people claim it to be today.
People make up stuff like the Free mansions, Illuminati run the world and etc. But there really not that important and more just thing kinda Frat boyish pointless things that only exist today just to culture around it.
And just a little hint if there is a organisation so called running the world we would never know kinda the point of a shadow government. And what is a most likely fact there is probably elite set of rich people we don't even know exist that have vast power over stuff in there country. But the point is you will never know them. And no there not out to get you and put you in a van. Because honestly your nothing to them. Just a number of billions they don't know nor has any impact on there life.
I think I used to believe in them, but I don't think I do anymore, just for a short time, when I did.
I do think that there's definitely the possibility that there's a higher power out there that are responsible for a lot of the things that happen in the world, like the elite wealthy, people more powerful than the governments, but whether or no they worship the devil or something, I don't know.
I think that's what the Illuminati are known for, but then again, there's also Freemasons and I don't think the two are necessarily the same, although they may have been linked together.

FYI they are semi public and even have their own site. They deny being malicious in doctrine how it's suggested by conspiracy theories, but again, does that mean anything? I don't know. Freemasons are a version or filliale of this organisation too. Well, they are real but what they do, we are not allowed to know, they like their "mistique". When they offer some video to go public from their ritualistic meetings, it more looks like just heavily dressed, hierarchy obsessed men, doing some blah ritual procedures. Is there something more than that? Probably, but you and I don't know what.
The (Bavarian) Illuminati were (past tense, because they are no longer around) an anti-clerical, anti-monarchist group whose members believed in free speech, secularism, scientific progress and the betterment of mankind. If they were still around, I would support them 100%, because I believe in those things too. We also need to get rid of our petty tribal instincts, because if we do not they will end up destroying us.
They are somewhat true but not like very powerful secret organization living in shadows with a network exceeding thousands if not millions but more like handful of scientists forming an alliance against britality of catholics at that time to survive and safeguard the destiny of their beliefs so as to educate future.
Controlling the world probably once seemed devious and fun but as one learns more about people it honestly just sounds exhausting and a waste of time. So if there is a real illuminati they are either stupid or not actually interested in controlling the world.
Yeah, I'm 100% sure it's a myth. While I don't for a moment believe that there aren't very wealthy and influential people who make important decisions behind the scenes that affect all of us, I wouldn't go so far as to believe it's anything like an "illuminati." Governments aren't that cooperative or competent.
The globalist the higher power i do believe they exist why would rebel celebrities die after mentioning them or even mention them if it wasn't real. We have free masons and a few other groups why would anyone deny the existence of the real 1% globally
Historically they existed but no longer do. I don’t believe any conspiracy theories regarding them.
For those who do believe…by all means keep talking about it and mentioning them on social media so you’ll be the first to go when they cull the herd.

Its a very general term encompassing many secret societies many of which have little to do with eachother, but the general idea is that these people possess sacred knowledge, and when working together, they can be quite powerful and influential behind the scenes. Most of what they do, a healthy person would classify as evil, but power can do terrible things to a person’s perception, and just because they are very knowledgable does not mean they are wise...
There's a secret society, sure, and it probably has very influential members, yes.
But I'd say most things I might associate with the Illuminati aren't tethered in reality. They're wacky plot hooks from Nic Cage movies and Dan Brown novels.

As in a cabal of elitists who work behind the eye of everyday people in order to gain power and wealth? Yes. John F. Kennedy even did a speech warning about this. As to what extent there power can go to that is debatable but I have no doubts that it is happening.
I only hear rumours; and I find them absurd. However, if the Illie's help to bring down the present 'world order' - they will be welcome to me. If I agree to their ideas... I'll know when they tell me (or us).

I don't think so. My friends, back in a day, used to scare us talking about Illuminati, but my parents said that organisation was disbanded long time ago
