The illuminati, maybe. But maybe that's a distraction we've been given.
It's more likely that there are multiple groups such as the illuminati that compete or cooperate in their spheres of influence operating like corporations with take overs controlling governments etc.
Groups like the Freemasons, skull& bones etc that are linked to the illuminati but those groups are likely sub-groups of the overall group that runs things in the American Hedgemoney. These groups create levels in the group to advance to from the very bottom to the top. Freemasons are said to be an off shot of the Templar order in England after its dissolution, another offshoot was the Knight's of christ which emerged officially after the template destruction in Portugal 30 years later in property the Templars once owned.
Mormonism is largely set up like freemasonry with its rituals and levels. Mormonism is another very wealthy group on the rise. Mormons pay a percentage from their earnings to their church which operates like a buisness. Mormons are well educated, earn good money & promote mormon buisness & are always growing. They are becoming a major player in the US & globally.
Then there's the Catholic Church & all it's organisations that operate like Sub groups of the overall church though technically supposedly under control & subservient to the pope & Vatican and are pretty wealthy and powerful in their own right. Groups like the Jesuits (current pope is a jesuit).
The Jesuit priests are recruited from wealthy families, their means of operating as priests is to get as close as possible to members of the secular establishment such as wealthy buisness men, politicians, police cheifs, high ranked military & through these means influence politics from the lowest to highest level & bring in wealth to the order. Its for this reason the Jesuits have been kicked out of virtually every country at one point in time or other.
Then you have the Knight's of Malta who trace right back to the crusades. They no longer have a country but are recognised as a sovereign nation by the United Nations with their own passports.
You've got other competing orders within the Catholic Church like Opus Dei, the Dominicans, Franciscans etc.
Another competing faction is the British Establishment that exists solely to maintain the Staus Quo & maintain the postion & power of the Soverign as the head of the country. This faction has financial intrests all over the globe especially in the Commonwealth.
Then you got the Chinese Communist party. The Party exists to keep the top leaders in power & wealthy handing it down to their children under the guise of socialism.
Zionists. So powerful that they got the United Nations to grant them the state of Israel and have the US & France arm them. They also promote Jewish businesses in the US and that Jews get a disproportionate amount of college places.
Then you have the Russian Oliarchs headed by Putin. They've challenged the intrests of the US Hedgemoney (freemasons/illuminati or their whatever name) in Syria, Ukraine, Georgia and central Asia as these are all traditional spheres of influence for Russia. So Russia is being weakened economically & militarily and political unrest is being sown. You may soon see Russia being broken into smaller non-slav states like Dagestan, chechnya & US companies moving in. China also wants territory stolen over 100 years ago back.

Their goals were to oppose superstition, obscurantism, religious influence over public life, and abuses of state power. They were outlawed with the encouragement of the Catholic Church (no surprise since the group opposed superstition and religious influence over public life). Later, they were vilified by conservatives and religious critics who blamed them for the French Revolution. "Illuminati" has been used to refer to groups believed to be a continuation of the Bavarian Illuminati, though the links have not been substantiated, so they definitely did exist and there are groups still believed to be from them. But today they are mostly works of fiction in some great stories like Angels and Demons, and The Da Vinci Code.

+1 yI don't like to use this word, because it's been overused and ridiculed because of it. It's also kind of too general. But taking into account the meaning of it, yes, I do believe there is a group of influential people affecting events, trends etc. on many levels. It's often referred to the music industry and celebrities of all kind. I think, when you look closely, it's easy to notice some repetitive symbols and patterns that are promoted. In short.

+1 yI don't know what the illuminati is but I believe it's possible to turn your religion into a prosperity secret, but I think that requires hard work and the idea one can become rich without sacrifice and labour by knowing secrets is a fantasy and not a reality.

+1 yYes it does make sense secret societies have always existed in most cultures.
But tying up every unsolved mystery to one secret society can't really prove much of anything.
You can't trust none 🤔20 Reply I don't know!!! And not knowing is infuriating. Like, I want illuminati to be real. It seems cool. But then it seems too farfetched to be real, right?

Opinion Owner+1 y@BLP11520 I really think anything about it. People are going to persue their interests and their class interests, you are never going to change that and we shouldn't even be trying to because that is actually the best thing about capitalism, the idea that no single centralised authority can do as good a job as everyone making their own choices and value judgements.
On the surface of it, it's a good thing, let's hope that some kind of good does come out of it.
My concern or critism would be more along the lines that no one should be a billionaire, no one should have that much power and influence.
What we need to be doing is constructing a framework for society within which people can be as awful and ignorant and evil as the worst of us are going to be without that casting a shadow over the whole of the world, the maximum amount of damage such a person can inflict must be minimised.
There are plenty of actual smoking guns which demonstrate beyond any and all doubt that the world is utterly corrupted and controlled by a handful of people and we all know what those things are at this point because its right in front of our faces.
9/11, buildings do not fall down at free fall speeds neatly into their own footprints without controlled demolition.
Russia wouldn't blow up their own gas pipeline when they could just turn it off at the tap if thats what they wanted and besides this obvious truth we have video tape of people in the us government threatening to do it and they are the ones who benefit.
There were no wmds.
Covid was mostly bullshit and all manner of lies were told about basically every aspect of it.
The list of obvious, well known, documented grievances is endless and growing all the time, there absolutely no need to be looking at anything on the fringes.

Opinion Owner+1 yAlso I wouldn't be surprised. Human trafficking is real. Just look at what happened at Epstine's Island. I wouldn't be surprised that there are rich weirdos that do crazy things. The world is satanic. You can even see it in fashion. For example Belanciaga. There's some sick twisted weirdos in this world.
