For a moment there, because of the diagramme, I thought this was a mathematical and/or engineering riddle that you wanted us to solve.
Anyway, my answer is the new arms race and "Cold War" the West now has with China. The slide into authoritarianism in many parts of the West (ex. Australia, which is now effectively a dictatorship) was also extremely rapid, and it was all for the sake of our "safety" and "health". Yeah, right. Sure, whatever you say Big Brother.

America's and this new generation's sensitivity to EVERY SINGLE THING, mainly unnecesarry things. Because of this everyone is fragile more people go crazy, more people get depressed, anxiety and so on.

The elevators in the old World Trade Center twin towers. I am not kidding. I think the express elevators went 1600 feet/minute which means you could get to the top in about a minute. I know that I was surprised at fast they were when I was in them...

In metric, that speed of 1600 ft/min is 29.2608 km/hr.

The new World Trade Center elevators are even faster at 36.5 km/hr.
So, again, under a minute to get to the top.
