What is a nationality you often get mistaken for?

Believe it or not mine is Russian. I have been told multiple times I look Russian because of the way my face is. I don’t really see it but I guess everyone sees differently.

I've never been mistaken for any nationality other than an American. I've been told things like, "You sound just like an American," or "You have the strongest American accent I've ever heard."

So far as I'm concerned, I have no accent at all, so I've always found this odd.

When people hear me speak they think I'm American or Canadian  When they see me they think I am Brazilian/Spanish I am Indian and am Bengali... But the way I speak English confuses everyone LOL

German if any. Which isn't wholly wrong, I am Germanic fundamentally, as a Swede we're called north Germanic. I mean we as a people-group are spread out over a few European countries, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany itself, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland.

People do notice a slight foreign touch in my (English) language. But they usually don't figure it out and just make blind guesses. There has been -i. e.- 'Australian' and 'Dutch'.

Yeah, you don't look French at all. LOL I'm Polish, and I get mistaken for Russian the most. Dutch comes in a close second, but that's only because they don't know the difference between Poland and Holland. And German is probably third.
