I think the case is done before it´s actually really began because this guy won´t get a fair trail because the media has already set their verdict guilty by association. I wouldn´t say he´s totally innocent but as long as it´s not proven he hasn´t done it. The importance that case gets reduces the chance that the jury will be neutral at the beginning of the case to an absolut minimum. I think people will claim they are neutral while there are not when asked about their opinion on this and later will vote for the death penalty besides whatever evidences are brought up against him.
As long as there is no evidence that she has been killed by him, he´s innocent.
I think police won´t find him though because he´ll probably commit suicide sooner or later because the emotional pressure of constantly being in the news with your face, while nearly everyone has already made his verdict against you is too much for him to carry.

Looking at the facts I've heard, I think he killed her. I think it's also possible that she was antagonizing the guy and attacking him without him getting violent to her until he snapped. When the police talked to them both she didn't have a mark on her but he was all scratched and bruised. If he was an abuser she would have had two black eyes and a broken jaw. A man can easily do that to a woman if he really wants to hurt her.

They were a really bad match and shouldn't even have been together. Both have mental issues (reportedly). Sure, maybe he also did stuff to antagonize her but I haven't heard anything about that.
