In some cases, yes. Others, no. I've met great people online, but I'd say roughly 90% have not been good encounters. I think this has something to do with some people feeling too comfortable saying anything they want since they are not in front of the person and can hide easily in case it backfires.

50/50 I meet some actually amazing people on the internet some of which I have become very close friends with for years now. And then there's 😒...

and they're not exactly strangers to me either... most of the times I can tell there's something good or great about them

and then... there's some little weirdos out there, but that happens

I have never really done it before I joined GaG. I actually have met a few people that I enjoy corresponding with. I do not think I will regret it.

I have no problem talking to strangers on line or in person. I'm always striking up conversations with people I don't know.
