Im losing my mind recovering from having my wisdom teeth removed, Im wishing those random chat sites still existed or were still decent at least

I sometimes chat on here. I don't know if it's the best place to do so, but I've met some interesting people.

I love to chat with strangers in real life. Usually when I'm waiting somewhere, at a train station or standing in line.

I once took an elderly man back to the centre after he had filed a complaint at the police station. He was looking for a bus back, so I offered him a ride back. We talked about a lot of things.

Yes, but  currently not about everything and even less with everyone. I also used those chaotic chat rooms back then, it was fun to train on intercepting conversations the right way. These days, If I'm chatting with strangers, it's mostly on small discord servers focusing on a specific topic

Not really. Mainly because I understand human nature very well now. Everything is transactional to some degree & the positives gained from social interaction with strangers especially is often futile or fleeting. I usually find that I'm happier alone because I don't have to endure such predictability. Talking to people often feels like when you've seen a movie you don't even particularly like over and over again so many times to where you can recite the words before they even say them.

I prefer to do that in person.

But , back in the day it was ICQ and a giant box ( dial up ) that kept me up till 4am , it was new ! Talking to random people from all over the world.

Do the sites still exist? No idea

Practically the only web site / chat site I knew was ICQ , but it started having issues almost immediately.

I fucking love it. I have best friends that I see every day and talk to and I dont know their name. Where I grew up being nice was weakness and ment fights and violence against you. I am that tough and violent. I am so happy that where I am i dont have to be anymore.

I totally miss the days of AOL chatrooms. They have been gone for about 15 years now I think. There was also Yahoo Messenger but I think that shut down around 2012.
