Overthinking or thinking negatively? Have the attitude of expecting the best. What if you could only get what you want. Ask yourself that and feel what that would feel like and keep doing it. Look for the best and appreciate it upon awareness of it. Takes some training of the mind.

You're working on it already? Describe the personality you want. And take one attribute at a time and practice it until it becomes habit and then work on the next one until you implant them all. And take the bad things you don't like and change them to the opposite. Personality is just habits and beliefs about yourself. All these things can be altered has you know through repetition.
