Flowers in a cold car?

So I want to get flowers for my girlfriend and I want it to be a surprise. I was gonna leave them in her car but the problem is it's cold out about 12 degrees. Do you think they will last if so how long?
Also this will be the first time I will be getting her flowers. Just want to do it just because

Cut flowers do not react well to sub-zero temperatures.

I don't think that they will look good if you leave them for 2 hours in a 12 degrees cold car. Your best bet is to wrap them into paper and if you have the opportunity, wrap them in a cloth, blanket or something that will keep them slightly warmer. Just make sure you don't crush them under the weight of the blanket.

Whatever you do, don't put them in water as they will suffer from frost bites, just like humans would.

You can wrap the flowers with decorated plastic wrap it will make it for few more hours.
