ofcourse its mandatory by law here in germany.

If you get caught without proper tires it cost you 60€ and a "point in Flensburg", if you cause a disturbance in the traffic flow or even an accident fine will be 80€ or 120€

  I think we pay more in fines here in Sweden... I think we are a lot similar (Sweden and Germany) systematically

  Sweden does have more snow and ice, here in germany (unless you live near the Alps) we have maybe a week of snow and ice. And most mainroads get cleared rather quickly.

Winter where I live doesn't get below freezing so we run the same tires all year round. But even down south in the colder parts of the country where it can drop to -15 celsius, we still don't have to swap our tires.

Yes. It's not mandatory here but if you have an accident from 1.11. - 30.3. while driving on summer tires car insurance company will say "bad luck for you, we won't pay"

No, I use the all weather tires that came with it. When they wear out i will buy new ones with a more aggressive tread pattern that would be better in the snow as well as on the beach, I will buy something similar to these ,

Not really. Truck is on rated mud & snow tires, they do well in deep snow but garbage on ice so I wouldn’t call them proper winters. And we don’t get enough snow here for me to bother putting them on my car, I mostly just use it around town anyway

I just have all terrain tires on my truck. Usually the winters here don't get bad enough to warrant having winter tires though this winter surprisingly was the worst one we've had in like 10 years.

No, winter doesn’t get that cold in my town. Roads don’t get very icy and it never snows.
