Do you research winter tires brands / types before buying them?

Tires… been there.

Finally found a set I love on my truck. I can literally feel them gripping the road on twisties in comparison to the stock.

My bikes, the same. I’ve had some I really hated. You just have to read reviews and jump. Don’t know until they are on.

I dislike Micheline myself. Way over-priced and they have a greasier feel that lasts the entire wear of vehicle tires.

Bridgestone is who I have on my truck.
And Pirelli motorcycle tires.

You’ll have to find your own comfort zone.

I haven't heard of anyone buying winter tires since the mid-1960s, before radial tires became ubiquitous.

Do you live in a region that experiences exceptionally heavy snow?

That being said, most tire manufacturers these days produce very high-quality products.

P. S. - Well, slap me upside the head. I just took a quick look. People apparently do still use winter tires.

do a search for tire reviews. go to multiple review pages. read customer comments. i've been very fortunate thus far when i bought my own tires after reading loads of reviews and then choosing. gotta have good tires for the family

I know people with cars
Most people don't use them

The few who do only use them on off-roaders and sports cars

Look for mileage rating more the better. Good winter tires have some specific sign. Triangle or so.
